To -be system
Upon entering the university, students, faculty, and staff must present their identification card to the security guards to check if they are bona fide students, faculty or staff of the university. For visitors, they are required to present any valid identification card. Then, they are also required to log in and out in the University eMap Directory to monitor the people coming in and out of the university. The University eMap Directory is an automated map directory that is designed to accommodate guests and visitors who come in the university premises. It is an interactive map directory, that is easy to understand and most of all more visual which is advantageous on the part of the user. It gives more accurate location of the faculty, staff, building or office you are looking for to transact with. On the other hand, it is also designed for students, faculty, staff and the university as well. It caters some common transactions happening inside the university like searching for faculty, staff, buildings, and offices. This allows visitors search to whom or where they want to transact with which then gives the shortest possible path. Since faculty and staff are also required to log in and out in this system, the record generated will be used by the Human Resource (HR) Department as a back up file of the DTRs submitted to them by the different colleges of the university. The manual filling up of the DTRs will not be changed since it is required by Civil Service. Their usual log in and out system will be replaced by this system. The graphical report of the total population of students inside the university at a given time and the list of students per day will be used by the Office of the Students’ Services.
